Greetings fellow Weatherfun members and welcome to your January 2007 issue of the Weatherfun Newsletter.Well, we have done it again folks. Not only a month has gone by, but we also have gone through another year. Welcome to the first issue in the new year of 2007. I guess it is true what they say in time sure fly's by when you are having fun, and fun we are having here on Weatherfun.
It has been a great year for Weatherfun and we have not only grown in size but also in a great quality of new members. We added some great members in the year of 2006, and we all enjoy having you all with us. You are all a great addition to our already great group.
Our website under the capable hands of our webmaster Bill has had some great improvements and additions. It is a wealth of weather information. Why not spend some time and go through our website from beginning to end. I do this from time to time and always find something new that I did not find the previous time. A great new addition has been the Weatherfun store. You can find some great weather and non weather related items here to purchase. Great weather items and everyday hard to find items that can be very useful around the house and weather station. Keep in mind that Weatherfun members also get a 10% discount on the items, along with the everyday low prices make for quite a bargain. So, why not surf over there now, check it out and if you need an item or two make a purchase and you will be on the way to enjoying your new items and also saving some cash at the same time.
Our 2006 Weatherfun Family Reunion was a great success. Now we look to the 2007 family reunion and a grand time. You have heard me say before and I will say it again, you do not know what a great bunch of weather watchers we have here on Weatherfun until you spend some time with them at a reunion. It is the highlight of my year and I look forward to it each year. I know some of you will be making your vacation plans shortly, so why not put the second week of July aside and head northeast and join us for the best time around. This year we hope to make it to the summit of Mount Washington. I visited the summit this past August and believe me when I tell you that it was the experience of my life. An experience that you will never forget and will cherish for year's to come the time that you spend with your fellow Weatherfun members on the summit of Mount Washington. It sure was the time of my life. Where can you go from the base that had a temp of 85 F with high humidity to the summit with a temp of 35 F with 50 mph winds, and near zero visibility. Quite the experience folks. So, why not do what the man says on TV and head on northeast to the 2007 Weatherfun Family Reunion. Hey, where can you go where we guarantee you a great time.
We have a whole New Year ahead of us folks, and we plan more events and expanded features for Weatherfun, with some great surprises ahead. Let's all work together to make it the best year yet for Weatherfun.
Susan and I would like to wish all of you and yours a very Happy New Year. May it be the best year yet, and the healthiest.
Remember that this is your newsletter folks. If you have some information or a story that you would like to see in our newsletter please send it to Bill or me and we will see that it is in the next issue.
Till next month, stay safe and keep an eye to the sky.
