| I know I say this every time folks, but it seems like we were just greeting members for the family reunion, and here we are on the Eve of the holidays. My how time fly's when you are having fun. Welcome to the November issue of the Weatherfun Newsletter. As you all know this year's hurricane season will officially come to an end in a matter of days. Yes, the end of November is the official end of the current hurricane season. What a season it has been. Last year a lot of destruction and this year no land fall in the U. S. But, as you all know the experts still say that we are in a very active time for tropical storms and hurricanes and next year's could very well be a very active and destructive season. We did need a breather though and that is what we got. Now, fall is here, and we look onto the winter season. You all know how happy that makes me. LOL But, it looks like this winter could prove to be a very stormy season for my part of the country, but also a milder winter than normal, and you know what that means. Less snow and more rain, and in my book that is great. The main thing though folks is that all of us should get prepared for winter now. Already here in Warren I have had my first frost and we are currently in a very cool period with temps only reaching the mid 40s for this weekend. So, now is the time to get your property and homes prepared for the winter season. Our fire wood is ready and I have another cord coming in this Monday. Hopefully it will be a milder winter and we can all save on our energy bill, but we must be prepared. As Bill is sending out this week the governor of New York has declared this week winter Preparedness week. I believe the NWS out of Taunton will do the same shortly. Remember during an emergency during the winter members of Weatherfun are always here to help you if you need help with storm reports and up dates and weather reports. If your power should go out, please be sure to contact a member in your area and I am sure they will help you with wx. up dates. WEATHERFUN REUNION. I know that shortly some of you will be planning your vacation for next summer. Why not put aside the second week of July, and join us for the annual Weatherfun Family Reunion? As you all know we had a grand time this past summer, and we have an even better time planned for 2007. If that is at all possible. Some of the events we are working on are: a whale watching cruise, and a visit to the peak of Mount Washington. As you all know I finally made it to the summit of Mount Washington this past summer, and believe me when I tell you, this is a great experience. Even in the summer we had very high wind, and very cold temps, but for me it was a once in a life time experience. So, why not plan to take the second week in July and head northeast for a great time with some great people. As I have always said you do not really know what great people we have here on Weatherfun until you spend time with us at the annual reunion. We even guarantee you a great time. In a few weeks we will also celebrate Thanksgiving and the start of the holidays. Susan and I would like to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving. May it be the best one yet for you and your family. Remember that this is your newsletter and if you have an article that you would like to see in this newsletter please send it to Bill or me and we will be sure to include it in our next issue. Till next time stay safe and keep an eye to the sky.
