Jerry and his wife Susan are looking forward to this year's Reunion which stats late in the afternoon of July 8th. I'll be going there with Lynn and Kristen. We all wish that more members would come. We just had the first winners in the Hurricane Contest.

June's Weather
  • 3rd: Bonnie again becomes a tropical storm. four more bodies were found raining the death toll to nine from the flooding rains in Texas.
  • 4th: An EF0 tornado touched down on Deserette Court, Ohio.
  • 5th: A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for the Florida west coast because TD maybe come a Tropical Storm.
  • 6th: Colin becomes a Tropical Storm winds up to 50 mph and heads towards the Florida west coast. The NWS confirmed an EF-1 tornado touched down in the neighborhood on Jacksonville's Westside in Florida.
  • 11th: A tornado damaged up to 12 homes in Baker, MT.
  • 19th: TD4 formed in the Gulf of Mexico near Mexico.
  • 12th: TD4 is now TS Danielle the earliest 4th tropical storm on record in Atlantic basin. Previous record held by Debbie on June 23, 2012. Arizona has temperatures above 100 causing 4 deaths.
  • 21st: TD Danielle weakens and downgraded to a tropical depression. A record daily high of 104 F was set in Chadron, Nebraska. The previous record of 100 F was set back in 1922.
  • 24th: The National Weather Service says it has determined an EF-2 tornado hit Pontiac, Ill. and an EF-1 tornado hit Ottawa, Ill. 14 people were killed by flash flooding in West Virginia yesterday.
  • 25th: An EF-0 tornado touched down in Carteret County in North Carolina and injured one person.
  • 26th: Atlanta, GA reached 100F. This is the first 100-degree day in the city since July of 2012.
  • 27th: A Mississippi man was killed by lightning strike and was the USA's 9th lightning death this year.
